Hazel "Kathy" Liverett, M.D., is an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Infectious Diseases. She received her Bachelor of Science from University of Central Arkansas, where she was in the Honors College. She received her Doctor of Medicine from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; where she then went on to complete both her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics and her fellowship in infectious diseases. She is board-certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, adult infectious diseases, as well as pediatric infectious diseases. Dr. Liverett is a physician in the UAMS Health Infectious Disease Clinic.

Dr. Shannon Dare also joined as faculty in the department of Anesthesia here at UAMS in July 2016. Dr. Dare treats patients in the UAMS Infectious Disease Clinic.
